Dogs

Noordwijk is known for its dog-friendly character. There is a special dog beach from beach exit 1 in a southerly direction to Katwijk. Dogs are welcome here all year round.

Please note: from June 1 to August 31, dogs are prohibited on the beach between beach exits 1 and 21: beach pavilions, terraces and the beach entrances and exits also fall under the term 'beach'.

Rules for dogs in nature reserve area’s: Dogs are welcome on a leash throughout the forest range. In the off-leash area on the south side of the forestry, dogs are allowed to run free all year round, including in spring and summer. This off-leash area runs from the Northgodreef to Strandslag 22. View the plan. Dogs are very welcome at Landgoed Nieuw Leeuwenhorst, provided they are kept on a leash.
