Nature's light show

If you are lucky, you can spot the northern lights in Noordwijk. At the darkest spots such as in the dunes near Langevelderslag, the northern lights show themselves in the right conditions. No luck? Then you can still watch the beautiful starry night sky here. Nature's most extraordinary light show.

Lichtjesavond Noordwijkerhout

Let the magic of the "Lichtjesavond" enchant you on December 20th in the heart of Noordwijkerhout. The shops and cafés will make the cosy centre even more atmospheric with their brilliant lights, lamps, sparkling LEDs and live music. The shops are open to do some final Christmas shopping.

At this time, everyone pauses to reflect on the last days of the year. During the Lichtjesavond, you will fortunately do so standing by a nice warm fire made by the local Scouts with a mulled wine, chocolate milk or a tangerine.

Carols by Candlelight

In the moodily lit Oude Jeroenskerk in Noordwijk Binnen, Kleynkoor Academy students will sing their Christmas carols on 22 and 23 December. They are accompanied by musical friends. Visiting Carols by Candlelight is now a tradition for many and a kick-off to Christmas.

The Children's Christmas Walk

Join the Children's Christmas Walk on Monday 23 December. The children's choir accompanied by musical friends will sing a concert in the Oude Jeroenskerk, followed by the lantern parade through the Voorstraat towards the Calorama Estate. There, in a magical ambience, a number of surprises will follow. The Children's Christmas Walk is for children of all ages and their (grand) parents.
